Every Tuesday some NHS students go up to the miles lane with a reading buddy. But it's not always just for reading. The little kids recently found out that we can indeed go to the gym..They like to do cartwheels (which makes me nervous if they fall), play basketball, read, draw & etc. I guess I never realized how simple they have it right now, even though they may not realize it.
I wish I cherished those moments a little more when I was their age. So today I sit here because my little friend isn't here today..And I captured a few shots of the other buddies. It's so nice to see them play without a worry in the world, as we get older that's not always the case. They have such open minds and free spirits. It's so good to be able to talk to them and hear their perspective on things so young. They find interest in such small things.
I realize this living with my 11 year old sister, but these little kids all have different personalities. It's a good expirience to be able to go up there every week and be just like an older sibling to them.
My sister has a high school buddy, and she loved it.

ReplyDeleteIt's such a good experience to go up and hang out with those little kids. They have such a good time with us and I enjoy going up every week to read and play basketball. We must really make those kids days when we visit them every week.

This is cute I haven't ever really been there but for chorus and the play but they all look like they would be great to get to know this is very cute =) glad you enjoy your time up there
